NON-PROFIT ENDEAVORS
September 2010
September 15, 2010
To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery.
With the money they raise, TWLOHA helps to fund (among other things) outreach/awareness programs, an internship program, and scholarships for treatment facilities. They are also teaming with the Kristin Brooks Hope Center and PostSecret to launch IMAlive, the first live online crisis network with 100% of its staff certified and trained in crisis intervention.
At our September Appreciation Night at the Drafthouse, DWFU members will be selling Who-related craft items such as jewelry, pins, and posters to raise money for TWLOHA.
